Harrison: Offering Kinect as a choice will result in more games on Xbox One

The news that Microsoft would release an Xbox One without Kinect came both as a surprise and a non-shocker, depending on who you were. Analysts like Michael Pachter predicted a Kinectless Xbox One sometime in the future, while many consumers were shocked Microsoft would be willing to effectively “abandon” the Kinect after roughly 6 months into the console’s cycle. Despite the mixed feelings,  Microsoft European Studios chief Phil Harrison felt that the removal was a good thing for consumers, saying it would lead to a “virtuous cycle”.

NieR:Automata is a Year Old Now and You Should Play it if You Haven’t (No Spoilers)

Today, February 23, marks the anniversary of NieR:Automata, which initially launched in Japan on the PS4 a year ago. I only got around to playing the game recently and it has become one of my favorite games of all time. Obviously, whenever someone likes a game, they want everyone else to play it to share that experience. However, I have a reason for trying to convince people to play this specific game and it relates to why it took so long for me to play it myself.

Resident Evil 3 – Records List: What are Records

There are over thirty-two traditional achievements in Resident Evil 3, but Records press well beyond that. Records are in-game challenges (including the achievements), and there are fifty-eight total for players to complete. So, what are Records, and what do they reward? Records award Shop currency, concept art, models and more. Records are a set of challenges that will dole out Shop currency when completed. Scarlet Nexus: How Many Phases Are There?

How many phases are in Scarlet Nexus? The story of Scarlet Nexus is divided into “phases,” which is really just a fancy way of saying chapters. Regardless of your chosen protagonist, the game will still feature the same number of phases. Granted, the story deviates quite heavily depending on your choice of Yuito or Kasane, so dedicated players will want to run through the game a second time as the other character to get the full story, which technically doubles the chapter count.

Terraria on Google Stadia Gets Cancelled

Things could not be worst for Google, Google Stadia, or the Terraria development team this month. At the beginning of February we covered a story about Google Stadia’s Vice President Phil Harrison that the company would be closing it’s internal development studio AND will no longer be making their own titles. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Re-Logic’s Founder Andrew Spinks, the development team that created Terraria, announced that the Google Stadia version of the game is cancelled.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Remake Coming to Switch

Saving possibly the biggest announcement for last, today’s Nintendo Direct closed with what many Nintendo fans have long waited for: a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. This Game Boy classic is seen by many as one of, if not the very best game in the series, and a remake with updated graphics could do wonders. Of course, it wouldn’t be a new Zelda announcement if there wasn’t some controversy, with a new art style that might not be what many fans were expecting.

Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Gets Nearly 7 Minutes Of New Gameplay Footage

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night seems to be turning out nicely so far, as IGA and his development crew have shared nearly 7 minutes of new gameplay footage for everyone to check out. The gameplay footage is also accompanied by commentary from IGA himself, which you can check out at the bottom of this post. Unsurprisingly, the game’s level design and visuals look fantastic, with that Gothic and sinister atmosphere that everyone has come to expect from an Igavania game.

Far Cry 6: How to Fix Warm Up PSO Cache Error

Far Cry 6 is finally here, but some players are unable to boot up the game because of a bug involving “Warm Up PSO Cache.” On PC, the game will display the message “Warm Up PSO Cache” when you boot it up, but it can get stuck on this message for a very long time. This can prevent the game from starting entirely, which can be incredibly frustrating for those who are just trying to play the new video game they just bought.
