Activision Blizzard buys MLG assets

One of the largest eSports companies in North America, Major League Gaming, has recently sold its assets to Activision.  MLG hosts tournaments for various competitive multiplayer games like Counter Strike, Halo, League of Legends and Super Smash Bros.  Though the company has been struggling with debt for the past few years, the decision has none the less shocked stock holders.  The majority of MLG’s assets were exchanged on December 21 with Activision in exchange for $46 million.

Batman: Return To Arkham Delayed With No Certain Release Date

WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return To Arkham in order for the developer to polish up the game. Sadly, no new release date has been given yet. WB’s Steve Grayson made the announcement over on the game’s official forums. Battlefield 2042 Specialists Are Here to Stay Says EA Game Designer

The introduction of Specialists to the Battlefield franchise with the release of Battlefield 2042 has been a sore spot for long-time fans of the series.  Among a myriad of complaints regarding this latest iteration in the Battlefield series, the Specialists have been one point of contention that doesn’t sound like it’s going anywhere, according to Frederik Drabert of EA. Guild Wars 2: Shadow of the Mad King update arriving shortly

ArenaNet is getting in the Halloween spirit with a new update hitting Guild Wars 2 in October. Titled Shadow of the Mad King, this update will include four new acts that will all be themed for the holiday. Shadow of the Mad King will be the first major content update for Guild Wars 2, and will go live on October 22nd. The update includes “a number of new features”, over on the Guild Wars page dedicated to the upcoming release, some notable features of the content include new items stocked at the Black Lion Trading Company, PvP Paid Tournaments with better prizes, and an evolving Tyria with new events, puzles, bosses, and mini-dungeons.

Mojang Confirm A New “Dungeon” Is Being Made For Minecraft

Jens Bergensten, one of the Minecraft developers working at Mojang, has recently announced that the team is working on a brand new dungeon and new features.
