PlayStation Plus vs. Xbox Live Games with Gold for July 2016
Summer can be kind of dull for video game players. Luckily we still get fresh sets of free games from both Microsoft and Sony as part of the Xbox Live Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection programs. As usual, with the start of a new month, we’ve put together both offerings and will face them off against each other to decide which service offered players a better value this month.
Red Dead Redemption Hits PS4 and PC via PS Now
Fans have been clamoring for years to get Red Dead Redemption onto PS4 and PC, and now they have it. Of course, these things don’t always come in the exact way that we want, which might be the case here. Red Dead Redemption is being added to the PlayStation Now service, allowing gamers on PS4 and PC to play the game via streaming. The game will arrive on December 6th.
Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment & Sword Art Online Lost Song Coming To PS4
Sword Art Online is a highly popular anime that follows a Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (VRMMORPG) storyline of characters stuck within a videogame. Now the previously released Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for the Vita is set to get a PlayStation 4 release along with Sword Art Online: Lost Song which is set to make it’s first appearance in the west.
Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment will allow players to transfer ‘some data’ primarily items, from the Vita version to the upcoming PlayStation 4 digital release.
The Ratchet & Clank Movie Is Getting Slammed By Critics
The Ratchet & Clank series has been around for years and brought us the best entry in years with the reimagined Ratchet & Clank for PS4 just a couple weeks ago. This game’s release seemed like perfect timing with the movie of the same name coming only a few weeks later, but unlike the game, critics are absolutely slamming the movie.
A series like Ratchet & Clank has never been reliant on its story, with a focus more on its gameplay than anything else, but it still offered enough to keep you interested with charming characters that you enjoy seeing throughout the game.
What’s in the Watch Dogs: Legion Store
Watch Dogs: Legion is the latest game from Ubisoft, and that means it has a store full of microtransactions. They’re not the most offensive I’ve seen in a AAA-title (to include Ubisoft’s previous releases), yet it’s still good to know what Watch Dogs: Legion is offering up for extra cash.
The store in Watch Dog: Legion predominately features cosmetics, with a few exceptions. The store in Watch Dogs: Legion is mostly full of cosmetic outfits for your operatives, and they’re not the most expensive I’ve seen this year.

Battlefield 2143 teased by DICE with BF3 Easter Egg
DICE may have already started teasing the future of the Battlefield franchise with a new Easter Egg discovered in BF3. Numerous YouTube Battlefield 3 players have uncovered what appears to be futuristic drop ship in the shooter.
The ship has markings that indicate it as a tease for Battlefield 2143. DICE has done its fair share of teasing with Battlefield 3 since 2011’s release. There were the dino-discoveries that indicated some sort of “Dino Mode” would be coming to the shooter, and apparently DICE just wants everyone to know that they’ve got a cupboard full of ideas brewing on the backburner.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – How to Get Battle Pass
The Battle Pass has launched for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and includes numerous unlockable items for premium and free users. The Battle Pass can be accessed on the Multiplayer Menu Option (and Co-Op Menu Option). The Battle Pass itself has both free and premium tiers, with those who purchase the Battle Pass having the ability to progress all the way through the complete 100 levels.

DOOM Eternal Hidden Trophies List
Recently released for the PlayStation 5, there are 16 DOOM Eternal hidden trophies in this Bethesda title’s trophy list for you to unlock. The game features 48 trophies total, with 34 in the base game, and seven in each of the Ancient Gods DLC packs. There are 27 bronze, 14 silver, six gold, and of course one platinum trophy. This list is identical to the PlayStation 4 version’s, so to any super fans who have already completed that one, you know exactly what to expect.
