Four More Games Get Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Support

The next batch of games that now have backwards compatibility support on Xbox One is a big one, as this time the announcement includes 4 games. The announcement was once again made by Xbox’s Major Nelson, sharing a tweet of the games that are less-popular compared to ones added more recently. The four games in question are Jurassic Park: The Game, Battlestations: Midway, Dragon’s Lair, and Tour de France 2011. Owning any of these games on Xbox 360 should result in them showing up in your Xbox One library for download, so be sure to check the next chance you get.

Injustice 2 Becomes ‘Legendary’ in March

Warner Bros. has announced today that they will release a new edition of their DC fighting game Injustice 2 in March, which will reunite all the DLC content released over the last year in one package. This re-release will receive the name of ‘Legendary Edition,’ and will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Players will get the chance to have access from the very beginning to characters like Darkseid, Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Black Manta, Raiden, Hellboy, Atom, Enchantress and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Media Molecule is planning on releasing a Play, Create, Share pack for LittleBigPlanet 2 incorporating PlayStation Move.  The platformer that released earlier this week to a massive liking by the critics, is set to get the downloadble pack “in a little while” said Siobahn Reddy of Media Molecule in an interview with IGN. “Well, the exciting thing to do with Move is, we’re working on a play-create-share pack,” she said.“We’re still in the R&D phase and working out what the features will be, but it will be announced in a little while and we’re really excited.

New Mirror’s Edge Gameplay Footage Shown At Gamescom 2015

EA just showed some great gameplay footage for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst at Gamescom 2015 earlier today. The gameplay is over 5 minutes long and takes place early in Faith’s journey. All of the footage was taken from a pre-alpha build. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is a unique first person game because it emphasizes on hand-to-hand combat and free running. Faith will not be using any guns in the game. The Gamescom footage looks excellent and is fluid.

Pokémon GO May Community Day to Star Torchic

The next Pokémon GO Community Day has been revealed, and it’s time for another starter Pokémon to take the spotlight. This time, the Hoenn Fire-type starter Torchic will be the star. It was recently revealed that Torchic will be featured during next month’s Community Day event, which will take place on Sunday, May 19. For those unfamiliar with Community Day, this means that from 3:00pm to 6:00pm local time, Torchic will have a much greater spawn rate than usual, and there will even be an increased chance of finding a Shiny Torchic.

The NPD Group has released their sales data for software in June 2018 and Mario Tennis Aces was the top-seller in North America.  In fact, out of the top-20 games in the month  Mario was the thing you saw the most of with Mario Kart 8 coming in at #6 and Super Mario Odyssey coming in at #11. June 2018 was a light month in terms of video game releases, but outside of Mario Tennis Aces, only a couple of other high profile releases cracked the top-20.
