Nintendo Execs Take Blame for 3DS Failure, Salaries Slashed
Nintendo slashed prices for its handheld 3DS device yesterday morning, and the company executives have owned up to the commercial shortcomings of the device. Nintendo’s company president Saturo Iwata has announced that he and other highly compensated members of Nintendo’s corporate structure will see less pay as a result of the company hardships. Iwata addressed investors and explained the company’s plan to lift 3DS sales into the holiday season, as well as keep developers working on new projects for the device.
PlayStation Now Gets 5 New Final Fantasy Games
Sony’s on-demand gaming platform has added some amazing JRPGs over time but somehow managed to not include any Final Fantasy games on Playstation Now. That all changes pretty soon. According to a post on the official Playstation Blog earlier today, Sony revealed that Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, and Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age are heading their way to PS NOW with at least one title coming next week!

Jimmy Kimmel has debuted the first official trailer for Captain America: Civil War. Many had thought the trailer would debut alongside Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens next month. However, Disney decided to release the first full trailer today. X-Men: Apocalypse is the movie that will have its first trailer debut alongside the big Star Wars movie instead. As for Captain America: Civil War, the trailer starts from where the Ant-Man post credit scene left off.
YouTube app coming to PS Vita this month
Sony has announced that they will soon be bringing an official YouTube app to the PS Vita. Available as a free download, the YouTube application on the Vita will allow for watching videos, full search capabilities, favorites, commenting, and linking to your YouTube account through the Vita.
Due sometime later this month, Sony’s director of Handheld Consoles Product Planning, Don Mesa, said that Sony has plans to bring “Even more unique, social and immersive experiences” to the PS Vita in the future.
All-New PlayStation Plus Has 6 Huge Launch Games Confirmed
Sony has revealed its latest plans for the PlayStation Plus service. There are going to be three distinct tiers for the subscription and a few of these will unlock benefits for you on top of the base PlayStation Plus subscription. However, there are also massive titles that will be available on the new PS Now framework from day one of the services going live within June. The new PlayStation Plus games will certainly offer something for everyone and there are a few that haven’t been seen on PS Now before so that is an excellent piece of information to know.
An Ancient Evil Awakens in the Halo 4 Launch Trailer
Remember those big name directors and SFX guys that 343 Industries hired on to do the launch trailer for Halo 4? Well that video has finally been released, and it features some interesting footage for Halo fans.
