Pokemon Go Servers are Down just as Raikou, Entei, and Suicune Launch

This morning my small Pokemon Go group was abuzz with excitement. After a couple extra days of waiting Raikou would finally start really appearing, as the Legendary Birds from rotation. One was spotted, we coordinated a start time on Facebook (since there’s no way to communicate or organize in-game) and went. Once we’d all arrived and started messing with the gym excitement turned to sadness and eventually anger. After spending real money and time it appeared that none of us would even be able to battle Raikou.

The Next Generation: Unreal Engine 4 Arrives

Epic Games has now launched the long awaited fourth iteration of its game engine: Unreal Engine 4. The previous Unreal Engines were the most commonly used game engines for development and powered pretty much every recent game out there. Unity, another popular game engine announced Unity 5 just yesterday and while Unity has been more popular with indie developers, Unreal Engine has been the go-to choice for most AAA developers. Epic however announced that Unreal Engine 4 will use a subscription based model and anybody can gain access to the entire Unreal Engine 4 by paying 19$ a month.

It’s crazy that a tooltip for how to rotate objects is not constantly shown in The Sims 4 HUD. Sure you could dive through the tutorials again, or flip on the hints, but if you are going between the PC and PS4 versions, that may just be a waste of your time. Twisted Metal demo to hit PSN on January 31st

Gamers will get first crack at Twisted Metal on January 31st when the demo for the game releases on the PlayStation Network.  Announced just recently during the PlayStation Blogcast, the multiplayer demo will allow players to test drive some of the rolling weaponry of the game. Twisted Metal will finally hit consoles next month, when the game releases on Valentine’s Day. Twisted Metal is the longest running franchise for the PlayStation brand, and after a long hiatus, the return of the dark and twisted universe created by David Jaffe and Eat Sleep Play is set to return later next month.

For those of you that haven’t attempted FromSoftware’s latest foray into sadomasochism, now’s the perfect opportunity to consider your hand at Bloodborne, spiritual successor to the Souls series and an all round sublime action RPG. FromSoftware has just announced a Game of the Year edition for Bloodborne, set to arrive on November 25th. Bloodborne Game of the Year Edition isn’t all that exciting for those who’ve played Bloodborne already, it’s actually just a renaming of what was initially to be called Bloodborne: The Older Hunters Edition, initially announced at TGS 2015.

DICE has opened up the Caspian Border map on Battlefield 3 for the PC.  You can access the new content simply by entering Battlelog and running a search for a Caspian Border server.  From there, look for an open slot, and dive in.  Ok maybe that came out wrong, but you get the picture. The beta is set to wrap things up this weekend, so its quite possibly your last chance to play some Battlefield 3 before it’s October 25th launch.

Latest Minecraft Windows 10 Update Brings Bosses Into The Fold

The Windows 10 version of Minecraft is still trying to catch up to the original PC version of the game and its massive amounts of content, but it will now be getting a new update that adds in content that users have been requesting for a while. The content in question is the addition of bosses, which is set to go live this Fall. The update is set to bring Ocean Monuments to the game, which are rare locations that can include treasure and even the Elder Guardian boss battle.
