Gearbox officially ceases development on Battleborn; servers to stay online

Battleborn may be one of the unluckiest video games to release this generation. After bad sales, middling reviews and even turning into an unsuccessful free-to-play title, Battleborn has officially ended development. Announced by the game’s creative director Randy Varnell, Battleborn is finally settling into an early grave with no future content planned for the FPS/MOBA hybrid after the game’s upcoming Fall update. “As of this week, there will be no more Battleplans and there is currently no planned content after the Fall update,” said Varnell on the official Gearbox forums.

Splatoon’s Squid Sisters Rumored To Get Their Own amiibo

Nintendo’s ink shooter Splatoon continues to be a hit on the Wii U even though the free weapon and stage updates are no more, as the tournaments continue to get the community excited. While Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl and Inkling Squid already have their own amiibo, it looks like a couple of other characters from the game could be getting their own, as well. The Squid Sisters recently appeared at a live Splatoon event in Japan, where they were asked about the potential of them getting their own amiibo.

Twitch Prime Members Getting New Game with Indie Amplifier Program

Twitch Prime members are going to be getting a new game via a new program called the Indie Amplifier.  Beginning on February 19th, Twitch will be working with eight different developers and popular streamers to promote a handful of games on the streaming service. Twitch watchers will be able to vote from Monday, February 19th through Sunday, March 11th.  The games in this initial “Indie Amplifier” include the following: Twitch Prime Indie Amplifier Games Tomb of Annihilation (Dungeons and Dragons), from Bkom Studios Tumblestone, from Quantum Astorphysicists Guild Treadnauts, from Topstitch Games High Hell, from Devolver Digital I, Hope, from Double Plus Good Games Shadow Tactics, from Daedalic Games Kingsway, from Cartoon Interactive Steamworld Dig 2, from Image & Form Once the voting concludes, Twitch Prime members will get their free game on Thursday, March 15th.

Neo Geo Games coming to PSN with Online 12.21

Outlast II Gameplay Video Shows off 4 Minutes of Horror

Developer Red Barrels, who are behind the much anticipated horror sequel, Outlast II, have shown off a new gameplay video that features four minutes of what fans can expect in the new sequel. Details have been trickling out about the title slowly, but a new setting and definitive plot details have now been revealed by the studio. The original Outlast, released back in September of 2013, where it eventually transitioned to consoles and quickly became a success.
