John Carmack, co-founder of id Software and co-creator of Doom, Wolfenstein and Quake, has announced that he has left the company he co-founded on Twitter. According to Carmack’s Tweet, “I wanted to remain a technical adviser for Id, but it just didn’t work out. Probably for the best, as the divided focus was challenging.” This was subsequently followed by a statement issued by id Software and Bethesda Game Studios toIGN. “John Carmack, who has become interested in focusing on things other than game development at id, has resigned from the studio.

Is EA Thinking Of Adding A Single Player Campaign In Star Wars Battlefront 2/Sequel?

Many people were annoyed that EA/DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront game lacked having a single player campaign. It appears EA wants to rectify that when the sequel comes out eventually. Leaked Screenshot looks like New Prince of Persia Game

The Prince of Persia franchise has been inactive since 2010’s The Forgotten Sands, leaving many gamers to speculate whether or not Ubisoft had decided to abandon the series altogether. The debate will undoubtedly be renewed following what appears to be a leaked screenshot, posted by a user on the Ubisoft forums,  labeled “POP_ZERO_2” and said to be taken from a new entry in the Prince of Persia series. Nintendo 3DS Already Hacked

A Nintendo 3DS unit made it’s way from a Chinese factory to the home of an unknown fan recently.  They took apart the device for the world get a first glance at the innards of the platfrom, and now it appears that someone has already hacked the soon to be released handheld.  This new modification for the device is said to grant the 3DS the ability to play ROMs.  It appears that the 3DS may suffer the same fate as the DS which was also afflicted from a large segment of the audience playing pirated games.
