Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta Will Feature Eight Specialist Characters, Three Maps, More

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta is fast-approaching and Treyarch has revealed a new trailer to highlight some of the features fans should expect in the trial.  First off, Black Ops 3 Beta players will be able to unlock weapons, perks, equipment, and scorestreaks, just like you can in the base game.   Apparently, these unlocks won’t carry over to the full release.  The beta will also feature a whopping “7+” multiplayer modes across three maps.

With the Modern Warfare subseries getting a reboot last year, it was only a matter of time before Call of Duty’s other fan-favorite subseries came back into the limelight too. Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Begins February 9

If you’re a big fan of the ongoing content schedule for Destiny 2, then do I have some news for you. Bungie is excited to announce that Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen begins on February 9, running until May 11. This new season introduces new and returning strikes, fresh gear, and an interesting escapade against a fresh legion of Cabal (guess we haven’t had enough Cabal huh?). Dontnod Entertainment Delays Vampyr to Spring 2018

Dontnod Entertainment has decided to delay the release of their upcoming project Vampyr from their original 2017 launch target to spring 2018. The reason for this setback seems to have been an unexpected technical issue that has affected the productivity of the different teams involved with the development. The studio, with Life Is Strange among its previous projects, will now try to use this extra time to work on polishing and balancing the game, an essential task when it comes to a title with so many different elements interacting with each other in the same world.

Lizard Squad Takes Down Xbox Live Yet Again Ahead Of Game Awards

Just earlier today we told you about the latest attack from the infamous Lizard Squad on an online gaming service with Steam. It hasn’t even been 24 hours yet but they have already struck again, this time with their sights on one of their favorite targets, Xbox Live. Once again using their own Twitter, Lizard Squad confirmed they had taken down Xbox Live, which coincides with the fact that gamers on Xbox 360 haven’t been able to use the online services much at all over the last hour.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands couldn’t be pre-ordered without first purchasing Battle for Azeroth, yet with the pre-expansion patch you can now play the expansion for free (ish). If you decided to sit Blizzard’s most recent expansion out then I’ve got good news: you won’t need to buy it if you want to jump into Shadowlands whenever it launches later this year. Battle for Azeroth has been rolled into the base World of Warcraft subscription.
