Nintendo Celebrates Kirby’s 25th Anniversary with Sale on Kirby Games
Today (August 1) marks the 25th anniversary of Kirby in North America. Kirby’s first game, Kirby’s Dream Land, came out in North America for the Game Boy on August 1, 1992. To celebrate this, Nintendo has started a sale on a bunch of digital Kirby games for the 3DS and Wii U.

Pillars of Eternity Release Date Announced
Pillars of Eternity is Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming RPG game that is inspired by old-timier RPGs like Diablo and Baldur’s Gate. Obsidian Entertainment has a certain pedigree for RPG games being famous for developing games such as Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, Dungeon Siege 3 and South Park: The Stick of Truth.
Pillars of Eternity has been funded through Kickstarter and is being published by Paradox Interactive, the game publisher known for the slightly more nicher gaming crowds.
Battleborn Targeting 1080p on Both PS4 and Xbox One
Battleborn is targeting a resolution of 1080p on both PS4 and Xbox One according to an interview between Gamingbolt and 2K Games representative Chris Thomas.
When asked about whether the game would reach 1080p on both consoles Thomas said ““Yes, absolutely [it will run at 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One]. That is always the plan. The game is still in development so you never know. But 1080p is the goal and that is what we are trying to achieve.
Bethesda Talks Skyrim DLC
Bethesda has been pretty quiet about DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim leading up to the release of the game, and even a month after launch, we’ve heard nothing about potential expansion in the game. Following their track record for previous Elder Scrolls games, as well as other games from BGS, TESV will see “multiple DLC releases” with “a lot of meat on them”, according to Todd Howard.
In a recent interview, Howard claims that the team is looking for new ways to improve The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim through future DLC.
Halo 4 Promethean Enemies and Weapons Revealed
Halo 4 Promethean enemies and weapons have surfaced this weekend, giving a glimpse at the new alien race featured in the upcoming shooter. Discovered on NeoGaf the new images show what looks like all of the Promethean characters found in Halo 4.
The Prometheans are the new ancient enemy found in Halo 4, and are quite different from the traditional Covenant army. Persona Writer’s New Game Caligula Definitely Looks Like Persona
The PlayStation Vita will be getting a new RPG from Persona writer Tadashi Satomi later this year, and the game definitely has some Persona vibes within it. The game is being developed by Aquria and published by FuRyu, with a new Japanese trailer being released that sets the tone for the game.

PS4 Version Of Mortal Kombat X Most Popular Among UK Buyers
Predictably Mortal Kombat X was the best selling game in the UK, and the PS4 version was the platform of choice. Mortal Kombat X took out the top spot in the UK gaming chart. The PS4 version accounted for 61 percent of all physical retail sales. The Xbox One version took 38 percent while the PC version only had 1 percent. Sales of Mortal Kombat X on Steam were not counted, so the PC percentage may have been higher if digital sales were included.
