Tomb Raider Sets Franchise Sales Record With Over 8.5 Million Copies Sold
Square Enix has announced that the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider has set a franchise sales record, selling over 8.5 million copies worldwide across its various release platforms. This follows a trend, as the game also set launch day and month sales records for the Tomb Raider series, which began in 1996 on the original PlayStation. It isn’t made clear in the press release, but looking at other numbers it seems like this includes the Definitive Edition, which was released on PS4 and Xbox One.
VOIP not planned for Battlefield 3 on PC
One feature that Battlefield 3 PC players have been asking for since launch is VOIP chat functionality. Last we had heard of it, DICE said they were looking into it as a possibility for the future of the game. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
DICE’s Community Manager Daniel Matros explained to fans via Twitter. “It won’t be implemented as is right now,” he told fans. As it stands, playing Battlefield 3 on PC only allows you to talk with players that are on the same squad, and on your friends list.

The EA Access Twitter page announced: “We’re investigating adding backwards compatible EA games to EA Access in the future. Stay tuned.”
