Xbox One April Update: Controller and Headset Updates on the way

There’s another Xbox One Update inbound that will further address issues on the console. Microsoft has revealed some of what’s going to be included in the Xbox One April Update, which includes 50Hz Blu-ray video output, a controller and headset adaptor firmware update, and changes to the way that system updates are handled. Over on the Major Nelson Blog, these new features were outlined and explained. Blu-ray player supports 50 Hz video output for content recorded at 50 Hz.

Batman: Arkham Knight marks the end of an era for Rocksteady Studios and the finale in a trilogy of Batman Arkham games from the developer. A series that debuted in 2009 with Batman: Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady showed incredible care and tact in dealing with the popular comic’s source material. Bloodborne Servers Will Go Down Every Wednesday For Maintenance

Sony and From Software have revealed the Bloodborne servers will go down every Wednesday for maintenance each week. From an in-game announcement, the servers for Bloodborne will be down for maintenance each week on Wednesdays. The announcement said: “The server will go undergo regular maintenance on the dates and times below. During these times, Online Mode will be unavailable. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.” Every Wednesday: 20:00-23:00(EST) 19:00-22:00(CST) 18:00-21:00(MST) 17:00-20:00(PST) All of these times are for those living in North America.

Bungie moving away from tea-bagger culture in Destiny

Destiny Hotfix Update 2.4.0.3 Hits Today, Patch Notes Revealed

As usual, with the launch of a new DLC expansion comes a round of hotfix updates for Destiny. Adding and changing so many things in a game as large and complex as Destiny can cause problems that aren’t fully understood until millions of players start messing with everything. More Sinnoh Pokémon, New Lures Coming to Pokémon GO

Niantic is continuing to slowly roll out more Pokémon for players to catch in Pokémon GO. In addition to these new creatures, some new Lure Modules have been introduced into the game that offer varying effects. It was recently announced that the Sinnoh Pokémon Cherubi, Cherrim, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Hippopotas, and Hippowdon, among others, will soon be appearing in the wild and hatching from Eggs in Pokémon GO. Additionally, the powerful Ground-type move Earth Power will soon be introduced as well.

PlayStation VR Is Not Recommended For People Under 12 Years Old

The PlayStation VR headset will be out later this year on PS4 and is expected to be very popular. However, Sony has advised that the headset should not be used by gamers under the age of 12. As noted by Eurogamer, the latest PS4 3.50 update beta has a section about “Health and Safety”. This section advises users on how to use the PlayStation VR headset. It said: “The VR headset is not to be used by children under 12 years of age.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Announced

Slant Six Games is heading up the next iteration of the Resident Evil franchise.  The latest game, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 if a report of a sighting in a popular gaming magazine are to be believed.  The Official Xbox Magazine which is scheduled to hit newsstands on April 5th, is said to contain information about the rumored release. According to Stick Skills, who found the content ahead of schedule, the game will be available this Winter.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Showcases Second V-Triggers

Capcom has shared a new trailer of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, focused on the new gameplay additions of this upcoming re-release, which will be available for free to all owners of the original version. The video highlights the new V-Triggers that will be added to the list of moves of every fighter in the roster, as well as combo extenders, mix ups, and new abilities. V-Triggers are spectacular moves that can be unlocked by making an specific kind of attack that fill a bar on the low side of the screen.
