EA has just announced that gamers who have owned previous Battlefield titles will automatically receive an exclusive Battlefield Hardline Reward.
Battlefield Veterans will be given a pack, aptly named the Veterans Pack, as soon as they load the explosive Battlefield Hardline. To be a veteran all you need to have is one of the following games assigned to your Origin account: Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, or Battlefield 4.
The pack itself aims to help veterans unlock a few in-game items quicker, rather than giving exclusive content. This is a nice move to reward players returning to the franchise, whilst not giving them weaponry which new players cannot unlock by simply playing the game.
The Veteran’s Pack includes:
- One in-game Veteran’s Patch
- One 200% Objective Boost (active for 30 minutes once activated)
- One 200% Teamplay Boost (active for 30 minutes once activated)
Commenting on the announcement EA had this to say: “Naturally, we’re thrilled about those who will make Battlefield Hardline their first Battlefield game. But we also feel we want to give you Battlefield veterans out there something special.”
The terms and conditions reveal that it is only one Veterans Pack per Origin account, so gamers will need to make sure that they use the 30 minute long boosts at the right time. Interesting, it does not matter which platform players have previously owned one of the three games on, as long as it is linked to their Origin account. Players can also receive the Veterans Pack by adding either Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, or Battlefield 4 to their account after Battlefield Hardline.
