The helicopter in Call of Duty Blackout is the fastest way to get around the map. The good new is, there are usually a few helicopter spawns in each Blackout match. The bad news is, you’re going to need to get lucky in finding one as the spawns are completely random and just because you’ve seen a helicopter spawn at one location in one match, it might not be there the next.
To help narrow down your search, we’ve helicopters spawn in at the following locations: Nuketown Island, Construction Site, Estates, Cargo Docks, Factory, Turbine, and the Firing Range.
If having a helicopter is essential in your plan to outlast your enemies in Blackout you should look at these spots to get a helicopter. Once you’ve got one, you’re gonna need to be mindful of other players being able to see and hear you.
Helicopters can be damaged by normal bullet fire and can be taken down quite easily by the Hellion Salvo lock-on rocket launcher. Though while piloting the helicopter you’ll get a lock-on message prior to an incoming missile, it’s usually too late to avoid it or jump out before instantly ending your match.
Aside from the cargo helicopters that you jump out of at the beginning of a match, there is only one type of helicopter that can be piloted in Blackout. It’s the MH-6 Little Bird Helicopter. If you’re playing with a squad it can fit up to 4 passengers.
