EA Sports is once again doing more maintenance on several old FIFA games including FIFA 21. This means the online servers for the game will not be operational when the maintenance is occurring.
The main modes that will be affected by this are FUT and VOLTA Football creation. These modes will actually be down for 30 minutes prior to the maintenance period. You are advised to finish online gameplay before the maintenance period begins.
It’s also worth mentioning FIFA 21 is not the only game being affected. Other FIFA games that will be down include FIFA 15, FIFA 16, FIFA 17, FIFA 18, FIFA 19 and even FIFA 20. This maintenance is expected to last for six hours which is kind of a long time.
Anyway, you can read the maintenance announcement below from the FIFA Direct Communication Twitter page.
Maintenance Announcement
“We have scheduled maintenance coming up on September 09, from 23:00 to September 10, 05:00 UTC. FUT & VOLTA FOOTBALL match creation will be disabled 30 minutes prior to the maintenance in order to avoid potential mid-match disconnects. During this time, you may be disconnected from, or unable to access FUT and VOLTA FOOTBALL. The following Titles will be impacted: FIFA 15/16/17/18/19/20/21.”
FIFA 21 is out now for the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia platforms. The upcoming FIFA 22 will be available on October 1st, 2021.
