In more recent years, Nintendo has greatly struggled with providing a steady stream of new releases for its consoles. The early life for the Wii had plenty of releases, but the later years of the last-gen console and the Wii U have been struggling to fill in the calendar. However, Nintendo tweeted out a picture today that showcases the big hitters that Nintendo has coming up, including release windows for a good number of them.
Nintendo’s Twitter account tweeted out the following earlier today with the image to the right:
- #HyruleWarriors kicks off a steady stream of new #WiiU games through 2015. What game are you most excited about?
For those that can’t view the image, the games listed are as follows:
- Hyrule Warriors – September 26
- Just Dance 2015 – October
- Disney Infinity 2.0 – Fall
- Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham – Fall
- Skylanders: Trap Team – October
- Bayonetta 2 – October
- Affordable Space Adventures – October
- Sonic Boom – November
- Swords & Soldiers – Holiday
- Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – Holiday
- Super Smash Bros. – Holiday
- Splatoon – 1st Half 2015
- Yoshi’s Woolly World – 1st Half 2015
- Mario Maker – 1st Half 2015
- Project Giant Robot – 1st Half 2015
- Kirby and the Rainbow Curse – 2015
- Project Guard – 2015
- Star Fox – 2015
- Xenoblade Chronicles X – 2015
- Zelda – 2015
As can be seen, some of the games have more specific release dates by month, while the rest are split into sections like “Holiday,” “1st Half 2015,” and just “2015.” However, this still gives us a better idea on a release window for games like Splatoon. Hopefully Nintendo will give some more solid release dates for the games in the 2014 release window in the next Nintendo Direct.
