Fans of Overwatch’s Arcade Mode will be glad to hear that custom game support for the mode is in the works, allowing the players to play around with the rules a bit and bring their friends along for the ride.
This information was confirmed by the game’s director Jeff Kaplan on the official Overwatch forums, though it was in response to questions from fans. Kaplan did not detail fully how this would work or all of the modes that would be supported, but he did confirm that 1v1 duels would be supported.
While Arcade mode has been a big hit with fans so far, it is currently only available on the PC version through the PTR. There are various new modes that are included in it, which all more or less offer slight tweaks on the modes that the game currently offers.
Unfortunately, Blizzard has yet to reveal when Arcade mode will officially release for the game, though it is expected to launch on PC before the end of the year. However, it will likely be longer before it launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
