Some exciting new information about Star Wars: Battlefront has now been revealed after the trailer debuted yesterday.
The pre-order page for Star Wars: Battlefront has revealed some new gameplay modes that we can expect to see in the new game.
There is a bulletpoint that says Star Wars: Battlefront allows you to “battle alongside your friends online or in offline split-screen Co-op mode“. This is good news for fans that were scared this game won’t have any local multiplayer modes of any kind. It’s great to see the game isn’t an online only title too. Yes, you can play against bots as well.
The confirmed planets in Star Wars: Battlefront are: Hoth, Endor, Tatooine and Sullust. Sullust is a new planet it sounds like while Jakku is a planet that will be added as free DLC. All up, the game will have five planets overall.
DICE’s design director, Niklas Fegraeus, said on Twitter there will be more than 8 maps in Star Wars: Battlefront and more than 2 maps per planet at launch.
Lastly, Star Wars: Battlefront allows you to “seamlessly swap between 1st person and 3rd person views“. It’s not exclusively a FPS style of game like the Battlefield franchise is.
Star Wars: Battlefront comes out on November 17th for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
